Starting as a student, like many others, over 15+ years ago — Sig took the time to train with some of the best in the area, eventually connecting with Miami Firearms Training, one of Miami's most reputable training academies. In less than a year he became a certified and accredited pistol and rifle instructor.
After being mentored by Julio Cortes — chief instructor and instructor trainer for Miami Firearms Training, who has since passed away — Sig spent 9+ years with Miami Firearms, where he ultimately gained the experience to launch a new vision in firearms training.
Conceptualized several years ago, Got Ur 6 came to life in 2020. After 15+ years of training with some of the best in the industry — and 9+ years with Miami Firearms Training under the mentorship of the late Julio Cortes — the time arrived to launch a new vision of firearms training.
Our goal is to train the student to understand their surroundings and how to effectively use them in a self-defense scenario. We help break the tendency to "stand on the X" in an encounter — training your brain to automatically move while we fine-tune your shooting skills to quickly align your sights and place accurate shots.
